PHOENIX,
AZ (May 5, 2007) --- The
initial tests of the F1K-07 comes following several months of
development and production in the Phoenix Race Works shop. Utilizing
the 1.25-mile Firebird International Raceway east track configuration,
the goal of the first test was to ensure everything was operational.
As expected, the opening sessions on-course featured several
minor problems, which were all quickly corrected. With Phoenix
Race Works owner and amateur racer Matt Conrad behind the wheel,
the pace was steadily increased each time on-track. Encountering
an extremely stable and balanced car, Conrad was soon posting
some very quick times without pushing the car to its limits.
At the conclusion of the full-day test at Firebird, over 100
laps had been completed, with Conrad posting a fast time a full
two seconds quicker than his previous fastest time at the track,
set in a Formula Continental car.
Phoenix
Race Works has already received orders for the new F1K-07, with
production scheduled to begin at the Arizona race shop in June.

Phoenix Race Works, LLC bring on
engineer, Dustin Wright and enter 2007 with new name and focus
PHOENIX,
AZ (January 17, 2007) --- Phoenix Race Works, LLC is proud to
announce the addition of aerospace & mechanical engineer,
Dustin Wright to the operation. Wright was instrumental in the
design of the all-new Phoenix F1K-07 F1000 racecar and will
be involved in the design and refinement of any new products
that are offered. The company enters 2007 with a revised name
and focus as well.
Formerly known as Phoenix Race Cars, Inc., the marque was well
known for competitive & affordable DSR and CSR Sports Racer
packages. With the popularity of the new F1000 category, the
company has begun shifting gears to incorporate their F1000
design as a large part of their business operations, while also
making a shift from just building cars to offering car kits,
engines, components and turn-key cars for the class. Phoenix
Race Works will also support the current DSR and CSR cars and
maintain an inventory of replacement parts for the existing
customers.
Plans for a newly designed Sports Racer, based on the F1000
chassis, will be released later in the year and will incorporate
updated aerodynamics.
"We
see a great deal of potential in the F1000 class and have made
several steps to be able to provide the best, most economical
and competitive package available," said General Manager
of Phoenix Race Works, Matt Conrad. "We are developing
our business to be able to offer the most for our customers.
We can provide a car kit that can be assembled by the buyer

on-the-shelf Suzuki GSX-R1000 "Crate Engine" packages
complete with dyno-sheets to those converting F2000 cars over
to F1000 spec."

Race Works is very close to debuting their 2007 F1K-07 and will
also offer a solid contingency program for customers of their
cars. Details of the program will be offered soon. With the
change in name, a new website will follow. The current site,

Phoenix Race Cars Announces All
New Formula 1000 Racecar

PHOENIX,
AZ (October 25, 2006) --- Phoenix Race Cars has announced their
latest creation for the newly formed F1000 formula car SCCA
class. The Phoenix F1K-07 will be the marque's first-generation
formula car powered by a motorcycle-derived power plant similar
to what has been used reliably in SCCA's D-sports Racer category.
The Phoenix, AZ based constructor has had previous successes
with both their C & D Sports Racer cars and is already deep
in the development stage with this new project.
"I'm extremely excited for this new class as my racing
background is in formula cars and I've always thought the marriage
of a motorcycle engine to a formula car would be awesome,"
said General Manager of Phoenix Race Cars, Matt Conrad. "I'm
confident our car provides the best value in this class because
we're giving buyers the tools they need to be competitive right
from the start. In fact, the first production car is already
spoken for as I plan to move from DSR to racing in the new SCCA
F1000 class."
Designed
by aerospace & mechanical engineer, Dustin Wright, The F1K-07
comes standard with a long list of features compared to similarly
priced cars for this class. Some of the standard equipment include
race-proven multi-element wing package from Pennon Composites,
Penske 8100 double-adjustable shocks custom-valved by Chris
Harrison of Harrison Auto Dynamics of Phoenix (Penske 8760,
triple-adjustable units are available as an upgrade) and an
adjustable anti-roll bar for the front and rear of the car (cockpit
adjustable is an option).
"We
felt it was imperative that we offer customers many features
as standard on the F1K-07," said Conrad. "When someone
buys a new racecar, they should get a competitive package right
from the start and we feel we have accomplished that goal compared
to our competitors."
Images
of the Phoenix F1K-07 Formula 1000 car are now available for
viewing on the Phoenix Race Cars website at www.phoenixracecars.com
as well as a preliminary specifications sheet.
The
pricing for the roller version of the car starts at $32,995.
A "kit" version is planned and, as in the D/CSR cars,
George Dean prepared engines built to F1000 specifications are
available to be installed from the factory. These turn-key cars
start at $42,995. For more information please call 623-581-3222,

Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. Announces
Updated Sports Racer
Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. has announced its newest entry into
the highly competitive Sports Racer market. The new car, dubbed
the Phoenix SR-07, is the next-generation Sports Racer from
the manufacturer based in Phoenix, AZ. Changes to the new car
are extensive and are the result of over a year of evaluation
and re-engineering, culminating in a car which will be competitive
at any level of racing.
The car is being made available in two configurations designed
for the SCCA Club Racing market. The SRD-07 is ready to enter
the SCCA DSR category and comes equipped with an approximately
175hp, race-prepped Suzuki GSX-R1000 engine built by George
Dean's Racing Engines. For the CSR crowd, the SRC-07 is available
with a 200hp, race-prepped Kawasaki ZX-12R engine also built
by George Dean's Racing Engines. A roller, dubbed the SRX-07
can also be made available for those that wish to install their
own engine package.
"We
have put a considerable amount of time in developing the Phoenix
SR-07 and we think potential buyers will see the value in the
car right away," said General Manager of Phoenix Race Cars,
Matt Conrad. "We targeted several aerodynamic and chassis
improvements for this car and are very pleased with the results."
Major
breakthroughs in the car have come in a significant weight reduction,
dramatic improvements in the aerodynamics package as well as
a minor update to the chassis to improve overall handling characteristics
and to also increase rigidity and strength.
"Essentially,
we've nearly doubled the downforce on the car with only a 10%
increase in drag," said Conrad. "Combine that with
a stronger, lighter and more rigid chassis and we clearly have
a car that will be easily competitive against other brands that
are out there at a significantly lower price."
A
full list of updates and a detailed spec sheet with pricing
is coming soon and will be available at www.phoenixracecars.com,
or contact Matt Conrad at Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. at 623-581-3222.

Jeremy Treadway Comes Close To SCCA
RunOffs Victory In Phoenix CSR-1
Electrical gremlin sidelines Treadway in C-Sports Racer while
leading
Jeremy Treadway could smell victory in this year's C-Sports
Racer (CSR) class at the SCCA RunOff's at Mid-Ohio, but luck
prevented the talented driver from getting into victory lane
in his new Phoenix CSR-1 Sports Racer. After taking the lead
on lap 2, Treadway led until lap 9 before an electrical gremlin
shut off the car on lap 10, forcing him to pull off. He ultimately
ended up 11th in his Stonebridge Sports and Classics Phoenix
CSR-1.
Though the team was up against converted Toyota Atlantic cars
with more downforce and horsepower, Treadway qualified in 7th
as was able to lead and still be in contention for a win or
at least a podium.
"We are obviously disappointed with what could have been
a much better finish, but I can't really complain too much,"
said Matt Conrad, General Manger of Phoenix Race Cars, Inc.
"This was our first ever CSR effort and Treadway and his
team held their own, leading the race and showing very well.
This was not a factory effort by Phoenix Race Cars either, which
really makes me proud of Treadway and the guys at Stonebridge
Sports & Classics. We have plenty of positives to build
on now going into the off-season."
The performance of the car was very positive until the mysterious
electrical problem. After avoiding a first lap incident, Treadway
put himself into the lead, running the fourth fastest lap of
the race in the process.
In addition to the on-going development with the Phoenix CSR-1
car, the team was also sorting out the new Kawasaki ZX-12 powerplant
now available from Phoenix Race Cars and George Dean Racing
Engines. The engine was shown to be potent and very fast down
Mid-Ohio's long straight.

Phoenix Race
Cars, Inc. Announce
Name Change For DSR & CSR Sports Racers; New Logos
Phoenix DSR-1 & CSR-1 name to replace the Maloy brand
name
Phoenix Race Cars, Inc. announced today that the Maloy name
that has been used by the company for their D & C - Sports
Racers will now be replaced with "PHOENIX". The chassis
names, however, will remain DSR-1 and CSR-1. New logos and signage
have also been released to reflect this change.
"We needed to do something that informed potential customers
of the substantial changes that have been made to our cars up
to this point," said Matt Conrad, General Manger of Phoenix
Race Cars, Inc. "Even though the carbon fiber skin of the
car may still look the same, the changes underneath are numerous."
Some of these updates include a fully redesigned under-tray
that has improved down-force while limiting drag. A considerable
amount of time went into re-engineering the hubs and axle assemblies
as well as lightening and improving suspension components on
the car. The DSR-1 and CSR-1 now features a re-engineered chassis
that allows larger engine packages to fit while allowing for
easier servicing and maintenance.
"The name change is really symbolic of the changes we are
making as a company to an already great car," said Conrad.
"We hope to be able to showcase a car that is a quality
piece and very competitive while giving the customer value,
something that many of the other manufacturers are not able
to provide."

Planned
Changes at Maloy Racing
Phoenix,
AZ -As many Club Racing competitors across the country are spending
the winter updating and preparing their cars for the upcoming
season, Maloy Racing is also making plans that will bring major
changes to its operations.
A
newly formed company, Phoenix Race Cars, Inc., based in Phoenix,
AZ, will take over all future operations from the management
team of Maloy Racing in Albuquerque as of the first of the year.
"Mike's team, armed with hard work, innovation and dedication
has produced a highly competitive race machine that gives any
racer a chance to go out and have a blast at a local or regional
race event, or take the next step up to the National stage and
compete for a National Championship", said Matt Conrad,
General Manager of Phoenix Race Cars, Inc.
According
to Conrad there are no immediate design changes anticipated
for the Maloy DSR1 car, but "we have some great things
planned, and we'll be sharing those plans in the upcoming weeks
and months. We are looking forward to a very exciting season
in 2005 and beyond". Current customers can be assured of
the same reliable, reasonably priced parts, continuous innovation,
and expansion of the successful dealer network.
Maloy
Racing was started in 2001, by three partner/shareholders including
Mike Maloy, Alan Mertens and Al Unser, Jr. Their goal was to
build a highly successful car for national Sports Car Club of
America's amateur auto racing events. In the last year, their
car built up an impressive win record, with numerous DSR track
records and first overall finishes. The 2004 season saw Al Beasley,
Jr.'s podium finish at the SCCA Runoffs - in only the car's
second appearance there.
Weighing
approximately 850 pounds and powered by 6-speed, sequential
shift "superbike" motors, these carbon fiber rocket
ships can pull over 2g's in a corner, shift at over 12,000 rpm
and barrel down the straights at close to 160 mph. Maloy originally
created their car to fill a growing interest in the SCCA's Sports
Racing class. "Not to be over simplistic, but these cars
look cool, sound cool, and they are extremely fast
what
more could ask for in a race car?" said Conrad. "I'm
extremely excited to become involved in the DSR community!"
